Psychiatry
The Department of Psychiatry at Noora Hospital is a leading center for mental health care, committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based services. With a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists and support staff, the department aims to promote mental well-being and improve the quality of life for patients across all age groups.
Available Services (OPD Basis)

- Child and Adolescent psychiatry services
- Geriatric psychiatry services

- Psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up
- Documentation and certification as per clinical indication
Current Service Availability
- All psychiatry services are provided on an OPD basis only, twice a week
- Inpatient psychiatry and residential de-addiction facilities are not available at present
- Diagnostic Services
1. Outpatient Services (OPD)
Currently we are able to run Psychiatry OPD twice a week (to be expanded soon).
2.Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
The Care is provided on an OPD basis, meaning you see the psychiatrist during scheduled outpatient without needing to get admitted Anxiety, ADHD, developmental concerns, behavioural problems, etc will be dealt in detail
3.Geriatric Psychiatry Clinics
Twice weekly Aim to evaluate and manage mental health issues in elderly patients, such as memory problems, depression, anxiety, dementia, late-life psychosis, and other age-related psychiatric conditions.
Use of scales like MOCA, CAM scale and MMSE
4. De-addiction treatment and Counseling
De-Addiction Services (OPD Basis Only)twice a week.
It is provided through the Psychiatry Department, focusing on assessment and support for substance use disorders
Services include:
• Evaluation and diagnosis of addiction issues.
• Counseling and motivational support.
• Detox guidance as an outpatient process and relapse prevention strategies.
Note No Inpatient/Residential Facility at the moment for both psychiatric or drug De ad diction patient. What This Means...
One can come for regular consultations twice a week, counseling, and medical support for addiction issues at the OPD will be provided, but long-term residential rehab or 24/7 inpatient de-addiction care isn’t available at the moment.
Follow-up visits and planning can be done through outpatient appointments.
5. Documentation & Certification
Clinical documentation maintained for all psychiatric OPD consultations.
Medical certificates/reports issued only when clinically indicated (as per hospital policy).
Treatment summaries and follow-up notes provided for continuity of care.All records handled with confidentiality and patient privacy.
6.Clinical Psychology services
A Clinical Psychologist will be joining shortly, offering weekly sessions for therapy, assessments, and counseling.
7. 24/7 Consultation of psychiatric patient only by Tele psychiatry Services through our dedicated Emergency Department team (ED)
8. Inpatient & Emergency Care
Short Admissions Subject to bed availability and only after risk assessment and consultant confirmation. Patients are encouraged to have close family members stay alongside them for support in any case
9. Emergency Management: Currently Violent, aggressive, forensic or high-risk suicidal patients can be treated on emergency grounds only in ED and referred to higher centers immediately .
10. Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
All admitted patients at Noora Hospital are covered for psychiatric intervention by our Senior Consultant (with expertise in CL Psychiatry), should they require such facility . This could be both face to face or through Tele-psychiatry with resident on duty in collaboration
