Overview

Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery is a surgical super-specialty that involves the conservative and surgical management of a wide variety of disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, spinal column, and peripheral nerves. It is one of the most challenging branches of medical sciences and requires a great deal of passion, precision, and perseverance.

Neurosciences bring a new dimension of facilities to the hospital. It serves a particular subset of the population that, unfortunately, has not been able to seek care in private setups, primarily due to a lack of facilities elsewhere apart from government hospitals.

At Noora Neurosciences Centre, Neurosurgery is a newly budding branch that has been started afresh by bringing together the right aim, the right people, and the right equipment.

At Noora Neurosciences Centre, we aim to provide a comprehensive, individualized solution to all neurological conditions for people of all economic strata. We have also started the process of building our neurosciences team, which currently includes a neurosurgeon and intensive care specialists and is soon to be joined by a neurologist. We already have the latest equipment, including the Neurosurgical Microscope (OPMI VARIO 500), Minimally Invasive Retractor System, and Cranial and Spinal Drills, and we are planning to upgrade the centre with MRI and a Navigation System.

In addition, at Noora Hospital, we have 24/7 Emergency Services and a round-the-clock ICU facility to provide essential backup for the high-risk cases frequently seen in neurosurgical specialties.
