Overview
Paediatrics and Neonatology
The Level-3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was established at our facility in 2019 with an initial capacity of 6 beds and two ventilators. This pioneering initiative marked the first of its kind in the private sector, with the unit being led by a dedicated full-time neonatologist. Due to our outstanding patient outcomes and growing demand for specialized neonatal care, we expanded our capacity in 2021 to accommodate 12 beds, including 5 ventilated beds.
Looking ahead, we are set to further increase our bed capacity to 30 beds. This expansion reflects our commitment to meeting the increasing healthcare needs of newborns requiring intensive care. Our Level-3 NICU is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by a highly skilled medical team, ensuring that we provide the highest standard of care for critically ill newborns and their families.

- Biochemistry TestsVital for assessing various metabolic functions and identifying underlying health conditions.
- SerologyCrucial for detecting antibodies or antigens in the blood to diagnose infectious diseases.
- X-rayUtilized for imaging bones and internal organs to diagnose fractures, infections, and other abnormalities.
- Bedside EchocardiographyEnables real-time imaging of the heart to assess its structure and function, particularly useful in critical care settings.
- Bedside UltrasonographyProvides rapid and detailed imaging of internal organs and tissues at the patient's bedside, aiding in timely diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Computed Tomography (CT)Offers detailed cross-sectional images of organs and tissues, assisting in the diagnosis of complex conditions such as tumors, strokes, and trauma.
- CSF Analysis (Cerebrospinal Fluid)Essential for diagnosing infections, bleeding, and other neurological disorders by analyzing fluid collected from around the brain and spinal cord.
- Noninvasive Ventilation Techniques
We utilize Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and Noninvasive Mechanical Ventilation (NIMV) - Invasive Ventilation Methods
For cases requiring more intensive support, we employ conventional invasive ventilation and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
- Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
We provide TPN to ensure that our fragile patients receive the necessary nutrients. - Phototherapy
We offer phototherapy for the treatment of jaundice in neonates
- Developmental Supportive Care
One of the key aspects of our approach is developmental supportive care, which focuses on creating an environment that supports the overall growth and development of infants. - Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC)
We emphasize the importance of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), a practice that involves skin-to-skin contact between the mother and the newborn.
- Family-centered care is another cornerstone of our NICU, helping to create a strong family bond and aiding in the baby's recovery and development.
- At our NICU, we have achieved significant milestones in providing exceptional care, having saved over 900 babies to date. Many of these infants were extremely ill and born very prematurely.
- Our proudest achievement includes the successful care of the smallest newborn, who weighed only 600 grams at birth and was born at just 25 weeks gestational age.
- These outcomes highlight our commitment to delivering high-quality, specialized care to our neonatal patients, ensuring their survival and fostering healthy beginnings despite challenging circumstances.
